Chester racecourse
Known as the Roodee it is the oldest racecourse in Britain with the sport dating back to 1511. It is also the smallest at just over a mile which produces a thrilling spectacle for the big crowds that always flock to this delightful venue.
Good quality Flat racing is held between May and September, the most noteworthy being the three-days at the start of the season with the Chester Cup taking pride of place.

| Flat: | Tight left-hand circuit with a short run-in of just over a furlong. Low numbers have a distinct advantage, a fast break in sprints is essential. |
