Exeter racecourse
Exeter racecourse is situated at the top of Haldon Hill, alongside the A38 Plymouth to Exeter Road, five miles south west of the end of the M5. It is an undulating right-handed track of about two miles.
The Haldon Gold Cup in early November is the top race at a course which until the early 1990s was officially known as Devon and Exeter. Although a small venue in status, it has attracted such jumping stars as Desert Orchid, Best Mate, Denman and Kauto Star.
