Goodwood racecourse

Five miles north of Chichester in West Sussex, the course is controlled by the family of the Duke of Richmond, whose seat is nearby Goodwood House. The five-day Glorious Goodwood meeting is one of the highlights of the summer flat scene when such diverse races as the Sussex Stakes, Nassau Stakes, Goodwood Cup and the Stewards' Cup are held.

It is an attractive setting and the course is very undulating and has sharp turns. The course celebrated 200 years of racing in 2002.
