Leopardstown racecourse
Leopardstown hosts over 22 meetings a year, providing a mix of National Hunt and Flat fixtures. The four-day Christmas Festival in December and the Hennessy Cognac Gold Cup in February are the jumping highlights while the pick of the Flat are the Phoenix Stakes in August and the Irish Champion Stakes in September.
It is the nearest course to Dublin, being in Foxrock, just 6km from the city centre. The course is a left-handed oval of one mile and six furlongs with an uphill finish and racing began in 1888.

| Flat: | A left-handed rectangular course of about 1m 6f with a run-in of three furlongs. It has sweeping bends and long straights which makes it ideal for long-striding galloping types. There is also a straight 6f course. |
| Jumps: | A left-handed rectangle that extends for 1m6f with a run in of of 3f and an uphill finish. Its long straights and sweeping bends make it ideal for long striding gallopers. 7 hurdles and 9 fences per circuit. |
