Newbury racecourse
A mile from the town centre, the racecourse is signposted from the M4 and A34. It is one of Britain's premier tracks with top-class racing on the level and over jumps with £2million in prize money on offer. The top prizes include the Hennessy Cognac Gold Cup and the Juddmonte Lockinge Stakes.
It is a left-handed track of about one mile seven furlongs with a straight mile. Racing has taken place at its present site since 1910.
