Ripon racecourse
Racing has been held at the Yorkshire's garden racecourse for 300 years. Set in the Yorkshire Dales, Ripon is an undulating course of a mile and five furlongs with a long five-furlong straight.
Highlight of their year is the big sprint, the Great St Wilfrid Handicap, run in August. The track is situated two miles south of the centre of the town on the B6265 off the A1(M).

| Flat: | Sharp right-handed oval course with an undulating home straight of 5f. The turns are fairly sharp but the long straight gives the galloping type a chance. The draw favours low numbers when the stalls are placed on the stands side |
