Turffontein racecourse
Turffontein celebrated 100 years of racing in 1987 when a big party was thrown to mark the occasion.
They were first to introduce an automatic Tote in 1935, they were also first to upgrade to the computerised Tote in 1974.

| Flat: | A stiff right-handed circuit with a circumference of 1m 5f, with a steady climb from about the 1m marker to the final turn. The 6f straight flat course joins the round course at about the 4f mark. |
