Wolverhampton gets go-ahead

Action from Wolverhampton

This afternoon's meeting at Wolverhampton goes ahead after the track passed a 6.30am inspection.

Clerk of the course Fergus Cameron called the check after Saturday's meeting at the Midlands venue had to be cut short due to snow.

However, he reports the track to be in raceable condition this morning, and said: "We have passed the inspection and racing goes ahead. It didn't drop below freezing overnight and we are forecast up to 4C this afternoon. Having removed the snow off the track yesterday and worked surface, we are raceable."
