Wednesday's meeting at Lingfield hinges on a 2pm inspection today.
Clerk of the course Neil Mackenzie Ross will check conditions this afternoon but with the track frozen and covered by snow, he is far from optimistic about their chances of racing.
"We will look this afternoon but unfortunately the forecast is fairly unhelpful. We're still under snow from Saturday and there's frozen ground beneath that," he said.
"The forecast is for dull and cloudy weather today, with temperatures of 1C or 2C, dropping to freezing tonight and then similar tomorrow before falling well below freezing overnight. It's not looking promising."
