Wednesday's meeting at Carlisle has been abandoned due to another night of freezing temperatures in Cumbria.
To stand any chance the course needed a relatively mild night but the thermometer touched minus 6C.
Clerk of the course Kirkland Tellwright said: "We had a very hard frost last night, minus 6C.
"That extinguished any chance we had, we needed a mild night really."
