Saturday's huge meeting at Newbury is under severe threat due to snow.
Around 4cm fell at the Berkshire track last night and an inspection has been called for 9am today.
Clerk of the course Richard Osgood said: "We had up to 4cm of snow last night and while the temperature might reach 3C today, there is no rain forecast. We would need the rain to shift the snow as shifting 24 acres would not be done in time. We were forecast rain last night all week but then it changed to snow."
