Sunday's meeting at Hereford is subject to a further inspection at 11.30am on Saturday.
Following rain and a mild night, clerk of the course Keith Ottesen is prepared to give the fixture every chance, although the forecast is not favourable.
"It didn't drop below zero all night and we had rain, not snow, which helped shift most of the frozen areas, although there are still a few frozen patches," said Ottesen.
"It could be a false dawn as it is supposed to be very cold tonight but we couldn't call it off now.
"It rests on how cold it gets tonight really."
