Philip Fenton is keen to get Sunday's Dr. P.J. Moriarty Novice Chase out of the way before committing Last Instalment to a Cheltenham Festival run.
The seven-year-old completed a hat-trick of victories over fences with a brilliant performance in the Grade One Fort Leney Novice Chase at Leopardstown in December.
He comes back in distance for this weekend's assignment, but his handler said: "He's in good form and we're looking forward to it. I'm not too worried about coming back in trip. With Cheltenham just around the corner, I think it should be fine. It should be smashing ground and we'll see what happens."
Fenton added: "Without making any wild plans, we'll get Sunday out of the way and look forward to Cheltenham. The RSA Chase would be the obvious race for him."
Last Instalment's owners Gigginstown House Stud have a second declared runner in the exciting Bog Warrior, but he is expected to turn out at Naas on Saturday.
Edward O'Grady will saddle Shot From The Hip, who put a slightly disappointing fencing debut behind him when scoring at Fairyhouse last month.
"He disappointed me first time over fences when he was fourth, I didn't think that was a good run at all," said O'Grady.
"He's a Grade One winner over hurdles and I expected more. Last time out he was better when he beat Ninetieth Minute and we might get an idea of the form at Naas on Saturday as he runs there. He's a nice horse, we've always thought highly of him - we still do - so we'll see how he gets on."
