Paco never lets us down - Hannon

Paco Boy

Paco Boy's trainer Richard Hannon is grateful that Goldikova and Makfi are absent from the field for tomorrow's Prix du Moulin at Longchamp.

The classy five-year-old finished third behind the two top-notch French-trained performers in the Prix Jacques le Marois on his last start and while no Group One is ever easy, Hannon admits their absence boosts Paco Boy's chance.

"It helps that Goldikova is not there and it was a bonus that Makfi came out too, but in any event this was the best race for our boy," the trainer told www.richardhannonracing.tv.

"He never lets us down and breezed well earlier in the week, and he is a better horse than when he finished third in the race two years ago."

In opposition is French Guineas and Derby winner Lope De Vega, Godolphin's Rio De La Plata, and the consistent Siyouni.
