Kansai Spirit justified strong support to complete a hat-trick in the Betfred Kingspin Old Borough Cup at Haydock.
William Buick brought John Gosden's progressive four-year-old through the field to head Red Cadeaux inside the final furlong after Macarthur had set a strong pace.
The 4-1 favourite kept up the gallop to score by three-quarters of a length from Red Cadeaux, with Braveheart Move a neck away third and Crackentorp fourth.
Buick said: "He's getting better and better and his attitude is getting better and better. He has done it very well today, he is improving and I think he is even better on softer ground."
