Dinkum Diamond is all set to take up his engagement in the Polypipe Flying Childers Stakes at Doncaster on Friday.
Only true speedsters need turn up for the Group Two event on Town Moor and Fleeting Spirit landed the spoils in 2007 before proving herself to be right out of the top drawer the following year.
Henry Candy's juvenile was far from disgraced taking on his elders in the Nunthorpe on his last start and the trainer is hopeful of a big showing back against his own age group.
Candy said: "He's on target for the Flying Childers. Considering he had a lousy run I thought he ran a great race in the Nunthorpe. He seems to be going in the right direction."
