William Haggas believes it was worth the connections of Approve splashing out £10,000 to supplement the juvenile into Saturday's Neptune Investment Management Champagne Stakes at Doncaster with a view to the future.
Owned by Highclere Thoroughbred Racing, the Oasis Dream colt has already won the Norfolk Stakes and the Gimcrack this season, so connections were playing with prize-money.
The Ascot victory was over five furlongs, with the Gimcrack success coming over six.
The Group Two on Town Moor is over a furlong further still, but Haggas believes it will open up more options if he proves his stamina.
"He is in good form and we are interested in trying him over seven," Haggas told www.highclereracing.co.uk.
"We know he's good at six and it will give us more options if he stays seven."
