Regal Parade is reported to be none the worse after being beaten into sixth when defending his Betfred Sprint Cup crown at Haydock on Saturday.
The dual Group One winner appeared to be slightly outpaced on the quick Merseyside ground and big-race jockey Adrian Nicholls, son of trainer David, is hoping for softer conditions for the Prix de la Foret in France next month.
"He came out of the race in great form and I think he was stood out in the paddock this morning wondering why the rain came a few days too late," said Nicholls.
"It was a bit of a messy race, but he ran well. It would have been nice to have seen how he would have got on if it had rained, but you can't have everything.
"He'll go for the Prix de la Foret next. There'll be Goldikova and one or two others in there, but he's won two Group Ones now so he'll have to meet those good horses somewhere along the line.
"You usually get a bit of cut in the ground on Arc weekend and with a bit of luck that will be him done for the year as there's not a lot for him after that."
